The Carpe Diem Gallery in Majorda is housed in a beautifully restored 260 year-old mansion. The house itself is worth a visit besides a viewing of beautifully curated collections of artworks. Gallery represents Mohan Naik and other established Goan artists.

Featuring photographs of an exhibition which took place in 1941, at the Instituto Vasco da Gama, Goa, entitled 'Exposição de Arte' to commemorate the centennial year of the Fundação e Restauração de Portugal. Some of the paintings such as that of Victor Fernandes, entitled 'La Toilette de Madame' were likened to the works of Gauguim. And Angelo da Fonseca has been posthumously reclaimed and restored to his rightful place in Goa's art history.
